Military & Health Research Foundation (MHRF) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to join our dynamic healthcare team at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will provide expert care for women experiencing complex or high-risk pregnancies, as well as those seeking preconception counseling for known medical or obstetric challenges.

Duty Location: Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. No Telework allowed.
- Duty Hours: The Maternal Fetal Medicine Provider will work 8 hours per day during the following duty hours: Monday – Friday (0730 – 1630). Total work hours shall not exceed 40 hours per week unless mutually agreed up by the contract employee and WAMC Chief, OB/GYN or designee.
- Overage Hours: HCW may be asked to work additional hours as needed by the department.

On-Call Hours: On-call hours are variable hours depending on the staffing rotation and the resources available to share on-call services. HCW may be asked to work consultative call hours as needed by the department. Consultative Call hours will not require the HCW to come into the hospital. The HCW consultative call will be utilized via a government issued device that will be supplied to the HCW by the department.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
- Specialize in caring for women with complex pregnancies due to factors like pre-existing conditions (diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions), previous pregnancy complications, or unexpected issues during the current pregnancy.
- Provide guidance and management for women with high-risk conditions before they conceive and between pregnancies to optimize their health for future pregnancies.
- Works closely with obstetricians, primary care physicians, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies.
- Manages any complications that arise after delivery, such as excessive bleeding, infections, or high blood pressure.
- Provides support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the high-risk pregnancy journey.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree/Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.). Graduation from a medical school in the United States, Canada, or approved by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education of the American Medical Association (AMA), graduation from a college of osteopathy approved by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or graduation from a medical school with evidence of Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification.
- Internship/Residency/Fellowship: Completion of an accredited residency approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
- Equivalency Determination Request: The Contractor may not request an equivalency determination as a substitute for education requirements on this labor category.
- Certification: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) in addition to Basic Life Support (BLS).

MHRF supports the needs and goals of research teams from their early research efforts through the prototyping phase through the scale up to manufacturing including addressing the regulatory pathway of each technology. This complete technology lifecycle approach starts by building a product development pathway, applying end user feedback, identifying expert prototype/manufacturing, quality and regulatory guidance and ultimately connecting to industry commercialization partners.
What We Do
MHRF provides enterprise, program, and project level research administration and solutions. We can provide staffing, equipment, supplies, end user testing, FDA submissions and clinical trial support, and any other necessary resources in a fast, efficient and compliant manner.
MHRF supports military medicine by maximizing access to timely research and novel innovations that can improve the health and welfare of our soldiers and the readiness of their medical support and personnel. We do this by building new relationships with industry researchers and facilities. The research and development pipeline and the technologies that result are managed and supported through agile practices and management, rapid prototyping and lean startup principles to ultimately reach commercialization. MHRF serves as the hub between the researchers, funding agencies, end users, regulatory agencies and manufacturing partners to keep the lines of communication open with a clear focus on milestones and deliverables.
